After giant replicas of his head appeared in Los Angeles, Houston, and now Times Square, Travis Scott has announced that his next solo album, the long-awaited Astroworld, is out Friday. Below, watch a trailer set in a dystopian hellscape, soundtracked by new song ”Stargazing.” It features the lead single “Watch,” featuring Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. Sheck Wes will also feature on the record, Travis revealed in an interview with Beats 1.
Travis has been a busy man since his last solo album, 2016’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. He put out an album with Quavo, linked up with artists like Miguel, Rae Sremmurd, and more on their songs, took a hard tumble while appearing on stage with Drake and Young Thug (“I didn’t fall, dude, I flew”), became a parent, and more. He recently debuted new music while performing at Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival.
The album is finally coming together, and everyone will be fed as promised. “The kids — they hungry, and I’m hungry too, man,” he said. There’s a roller coaster of sounds coming listeners’ way with Astroworld, but Scott wants to feel comfortable and happy with his end product.
